Financial Hardship occurs when an individual struggles to meet their financial obligations to Cowbell AU or an insurer. Potential causes include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n
\u25cf Unemployment
\n\u25cf Divorce or relationship breakdown
\n\u25cf Death or serious injury of a spouse or dependent
\n\u25cf Serious injury or illness of the policyholder<\/p>\n
Customers facing Financial Hardship to contact us to discuss their unique circumstances.
\nIndividuals who may be eligible for support include, but are not limited to, the following:<\/p>\n
\u25cf An insured individual or a third-party beneficiary who owes the insurer money, such as a policy excess.
\n\u25cf A customer who is having difficulty making premium funding repayments.
\n\u25cf An individual from whom the insurer is seeking to recover money because the insurer believes they caused damage or loss to an insured party or a third-party beneficiary covered by a policy.
\n\u25cf A customer making a claim following an event that has also caused them Financial Hardship and created an urgent need for their entitled policy benefits.
\nImportant Note: Support offered under this policy does not cover the payment of premiums for an insurance policy issued by the insurer.<\/p>\n
Where a Customer Requests Financial Hardship Assistance Cowbell AU Will:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u25cf if appropriate, we will notify the insurer as soon as practicable after becoming aware that a customer is experiencing Financial Hardship Cowbell AU cannot guarantee that any request for Financial Hardship support will be accepted, and any help in relation to premium payments will be granted at the discretion of the insurer.<\/p>\n
