Today, at Cowbell we announced the appointments of two new hires to drive strategic growth. Jeff Ritchie has been appointed Senior Director of Digital Distribution and Dan Johnson has joined the firm as a Senior Business Analyst.
In his role, Ritchie will be responsible for digital partnerships as well as expanding digital product offerings and capabilities. He has 11 years of industry experience with a specialization in digital strategy and distribution. Most recently he was Vice President of Digital Partners at Arch Capital Group Ltd (Arch). where he orchestrated strategic roadmaps, oversaw the integration of API products, and launched and oversaw a new division focused on building a portfolio of specialty insurance products. In two years, he successfully implemented over 20 partnerships with major insurance brokers and significantly enhanced Arch’s digital presence while optimizing the underwriting process through automation, culminating in improved user interfaces and portals.
Prior to Arch, Jeff spent eight years at Markel Corporation (Markel) where he held several positions within their digital small commercial business. He expanded API premium across multiple business lines through key partnerships within the insurance ecosystem. Ritchie began his career in sales and account management and he held a board position at the Global Insurance Accelerator where he contributed to fostering innovation amongst insurtech startups.
As Senior Business Analyst, Johnson will be responsible for business analytics and insights and will report directly to Dan Palardy. He has 12 years of experience in the industry at Markel and GEICO. Johnson has deep expertise in ‘voice of the customer’ initiatives, developing programs focused on enhancing customer experience (CX) through data and actionable insights. He has spent his career identifying opportunities for enhancing CX, increasing operational efficiencies, and supporting strategic decision-making.
