Simon Hughes has been appointed Senior Vice President of Global Distribution effective immediately. Simon has played a pivotal role in expanding our reach and building the robust foundation of our operational capabilities in the UK, aligned with a global vision. In his role, he has fostered a culture of excellence and accountability. This change accelerates our three-dimensional profitable growth strategy and directly supports our broker-first approach.
Simon joined Cowbell over a year ago with over fourteen years of property and casualty experience, with a focus on cyber, leading teams in both the U.S. and London markets. His product expertise, relationships, and previous track record of success will align well with this new role.
As part of Simon’s new remit, three Regional Vice Presidents reporting directly to him will aid in enabling more effective pipeline management and product delivery across two continents. Matt Valentine has been promoted to Regional Vice President for the Eastern U.S., and Claud Bilbao has been promoted to Regional Vice President for the U.K. Michael Bibeau will continue to serve as Regional Vice President for the Western U.S.; These organizational changes align with our strategic goals and underscore our commitment to nurturing talent from within.
Jack Kudale, Founder, and CEO shared, “These changes align with our broader vision and reflect our commitment to growth and the remarkable potential of our team. We are continually looking for ways to enable greater efficiency and improve responsiveness to the needs of our agents and brokers and this new role will help continue and enhance those efforts. I look forward to the significant impact Cowbell will continue to have on the industry – creating value for our partners and policyholders while working to protect small and mid-market businesses.”
“I’m thrilled to be given the opportunity to lead our global distribution efforts,” said Simon Hughes. “As we continue to build out our presence in the U.K. and strengthen our market position in the U.S., our distribution and underwriting teams are poised to remain responsive to and work closely with our broker partners in providing the appropriate cyber insurance solutions for their clients.”
